  • Applied Ethics Resources — Maintained at the Centre for Applied Ethics at the University of British Columbia.

  • Ethics Updates — Annotated links to articles, journals, institutions, and government and legal resources on the Web.

  • National Reference Center for Bioethics Literature -- The library holdings represent the world's largest collection related to ethical issues in medicine and biomedical research. This collection functions both as a reference library for the public and as an in depth research resource for scholars from the U.S. and abroad.

  • Ethics Updates — Maintained and updated by Professor Lawrence M. Hinman of the Department of Philosophy at the University of San Diego, California, this site provides access to current information in many different fields of ethics.


Environment

  • Environmental Ethics — Maintained by the Center for Environmental Philosophy at the University of North Texas, this site includes an index to the Center's journal, Environmental Ethics, links to graduate programs, associations, publications, and more.


  • International Society for Environmental Ethics — In addition to information about the Society, this site offers the text of its Newsletter (since 1990), a searchable annotated bibliography, and an Ecotheology Book List compiled by John B. Cobb, Jr. Also of interest is the database of syllabi for environmental ethics courses taught at various colleges and universities.

Public Policy

  • ACLU Freedom Network — Covers a variety of issues and follows them in the courts, the news, and in Congress. Issues include criminal justice, the death penalty, free speech, and religious liberty.

  • The Center for Democracy and Technology — Works to promote democratic values and constitutional liberties in the digital age.

  • Benton Foundation — Works to realize the social benefits made possible by the public interest use of communications.

  • The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) — A non-profit, non-partisan organization working in the public interest to protect fundamental civil liberties, including privacy and freedom of expression, in the arena of computers and the Internet.
